<p>Sometimes things get a little out of hand with brand and package design. Marketers and business operators want so many things to be front and center, it all ends up getting drowned out by itself. One thing I always remember when it comes to communication is &#8220;when everything is important, nothing is important.&#8221; Pick one thing you want to stand out and have people remember, and put all of your effort behind that.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>People have been trying to re-invent the inbox for a long time now. And who better to attempt it again then some ex-Googlers? Dhanji Prasanna, Cameron Adams, and Jochen Bekmann were some of the guys that helped build Google Wave. Surely as designers it killed them to see what started out as a pretty cool idea for a pro-sumer product, get filtered through Google&#8217;s &#8220;engineer-based thought process&#8221; to create a product made for engineers and not normal human beings.</p>
<p>There are a lot of elements I really like about this. It makes usual tasks like browsing attachments much easier as well as adds a bit of eye-candy. It also brings in more of an app feel instead of making you feel like you are on a website. The only thing of which I am not a fan is that they made replying to emails &#8220;too&#8221; easy. It&#8217;s almost more like a chat. The last thing I need is more email from people who fire back replies off the cuff without thinking. You people know who you are&#8230;<br />
